About collectif9

“collectif9 takes the future of classical music by the hand, giving it a serious rejuvenation.”

Known for energized, innovative arrangements of classical repertoire, Montréal’s classical string band collectif9 combines the power of an orchestra with the agility of a chamber ensemble. collectif9 operates on the premise that a change of context can influence communication and experience.

From Montreal to the international:

Since their 2011 debut, collectif9 has performed over 150 concerts across North America, Europe and Asia. Their national and international touring schedule includes performances in chamber music series, festivals, universities, and more. Recent highlights include concerts in the Festival de Música de Morelia (Mexico), La Folle journée de Nantes (France), and Sound Unbound (Barbican Centre, London). Though nothing can be certain at the moment, collectif9 is looking forward to several concert tours in the US in the upcoming months.
